My FAVORITE canning tools

Like any job or a hobby, there are tools that make your job easier and are worth the price of admission. Here on my top three tools I recommend to make food preserving easier.

1) This canning funnel is the BEST! Use code CAN10 for a 10% discount.

It fits on regular and widemouth jars and shows you the head space without an additional tool. In the past after you filled your jars you would need an additional tool to tell you the proper headspace of what you were bottling. This funnel is an expensive and saves you want to step. 

2) The next product is a silicon coated jar lifter. You don’t have to get expensive here, but you do want one that has nice handles and can grip your jars. This is a steal at $4! I’ve yet to find a better deal at the thrift store or at a yard sale. 

3) Making sure you’re using reputable, tested recipes for canning as one of the most important, if not THE most important way to preserve food. I love these three books!
